Daily Clinic Hours

Norfolk Center for Cancer Care and Hematology in Brockton, MA is open from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. After-hours and/or emergency patients will be directed to the nearest hospital emergency room.

Making Appointments

Appointments can be scheduled within 24 hours if necessary. Referrals are required. For new patients, the primary care physician needs to schedule the first appointment.

What to Bring to Your First Visit

  • Referral Letter from Your Physician

  • Required Forms
  • Medical Records and any written reports provided to you by your physician.

  • A List of Current Medications: This includes all prescription medications, over-the-counter medications, vitamins, alternative medications, and supplements.
  • Radiology Tests: This includes X-rays, CT scans, MRI scans, PET scans, ultrasounds, and current mammography.
  • Insurance ID Card: Before your first visit, please notify your insurance company of your plan to receive care here. They may require a formal referral from your physician, and you may need to get a referral authorization from the insurance company to assure that the cost of your visit is covered under your plan.

  • Questions: Before your visit, write up a list of questions you may have about your illness and the treatment you will receive at Norfolk Center for Cancer Care. In addition, we encourage patients to bring a family member or supporter to help you to ask questions and understand the answers.

Some insurances require copays at the time of visit and for each treatment. Some require a referral from the primary care physician (PCP) in order to be seen. Patients are responsible for knowing the requirement of their individual insurance policy.


Lab Tests

Norfolk Cancer Center works with Baystate Lab to offer laboratory testing on-site. For patients, this means a fully equipped hematology laboratory that provides rapid patient results and professional interpretation of peripheral blood. The lab offers a wide range of testing that allows for the most accurate and timely results.

From Route 24 North or South:
Take Exit 18B, and follow Rt. 27 just 1/8 mile to intersection of N. Pearl Street. Turn left onto N. Pearl Street, and follow 1/2 mile to the intersection of Pleasant Street. You will see the Norfolk Center for Cancer Care and Hematology sign at this intersection on your left. Turn left, then take your first left into the Cancer Center parking lot.
 
From Route 138 North or South:
Follow Route 138 along Washington Street to the junction of Union Street, north of Stonehill College. Travel east on Union Street to the intersection of Pearl Street in Brockton Heights. You will see the Norfolk Center for Cancer Care and Hematology sign at this intersection on your left. Proceed through the intersection, then take your first left into the Cancer Center parking lot.
