Norfolk Center for Cancer Care
The Norfolk Center for Cancer Care and Hematology (NCCCH) is located in Brockton, MA. It was founded by Dr. Satinder Dhillon in January 2001. It is a friendly, suburban setting where patients facing cancer or blood-related illnesses can receive chemotherapy and other treatments without the added burden of traveling to an inner-city medical facility. Our physicians are Board Certified in Medical Oncology and Internal Medicine. Medical Oncologists specialize in the diagnosis of cancer and the evaluation and treatment of individuals with cancer. The specialty training of Internal Medicine provides added expertise in caring for the related problems that often arise in patients battling cancer.
Brockton Cancer Survivors Walk Patients, family and friends note November Cancer Awareness Month with a stroll through the colorful neighborhood. Kudos For Our Electronic Records System Massachusetts Medical Society recognizes Norfolk Cancer Center's electronic records system and billing foresight.
Under the supervision of Dr. Dhillon, the trained and dedicated staff of NCCCH provides patients with access to cutting-edge technology and cancer therapies, including surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, immunotherapy and targeted therapy. In collaboration with cancer specialists from Boston’s renowned medical centers, we monitor the latest medical breakthroughs and research and apply this knowledge to the care of each of our patients. A cancer diagnosis can be the beginning of a difficult journey, with an uncertain destination. In addition to superb medical care, we strive to provide hope and energy to patients and guide them through the uncharted territory carved by their illness. In essence, we focus on both physical recovery and emotional well-being. We encourage patients to bring supportive family members or friends to their chemotherapy sessions. We provide a treatment atmosphere where patients can feel safe, comforted and cared for. Whenever possible, we also help patients to incorporate mind and body fitness techniques through meditation, counseling, exercise and nutrition guidance. The result of our efforts, we believe, is that patients are better able to tolerate treatments and stresses, better able to cope with the demands of their illness, and can have an overall improved quality of life. |
