Founder and President of Norfolk Center for Cancer Care and Hematology

In the year 2001, Satinder Dhillon, M.D. founded a unique cancer center for patients needing chemotherapy or other forms of infusion therapy. Designed to provide a friendly, pleasing and homelike setting for patients, the Center strives to make its patients’ experiences as comfortable as possible.

Dr. Dhillon completed three years of her research and clinical fellowships in Oncology/Hematology at Tufts University, New England Medical Center, Boston in 1987. Prior to that, she completed 3 years of Residency in Internal Medicine at P.G. General Hospital and Medical Center, in Cheverly, MD. She also did residencies in Pediatric Surgery and General Surgery at Lady Hardinge Medical College in New Delhi, India, where she received her medical degree. Her Senior Residency was completed at King Edward Memorial Hospital in Bombay, India and at Tata Memorial Cancer Institute, one of the largest cancer institutes in India.

Board Certified in Medical Oncology and Internal Medicine by The American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Dhillon is also a member of The American Society of Clinical Oncology, The American College of Physicians and the Massachusetts Medical Society. She has admitting privileges at Brockton Hospital and Caritas Christi Good Samaritan Medical Center, where she is a member of The Institutional Review Board and The Cancer Care Committee. In the past she was also a member of The Blood and Transfusion Committee and The Red Cross Committee.

Dr. Dhillon has presented and published several papers in leading journals, and actively participates in community outreach programs, support groups, lecture series, radio, and TV spots in the promotion of cancer awareness and prevention.
